According to reports from Calciomercato, Kosovo international winger Milot Rashica is attracting interest from Roy Hodgson’s Crystal Palace, with the possibility of a summer transfer from Werder Bremen being pondered by the club chiefs.
Crystal Palace have had a very mixed season so far. While it has been filled with inconsistencies, it’s mainly because of the lack of a goalscorer. The injury to Christian Benteke seriously hit Palace very hard and they had to resort to playing Andros Townsend and Wilfried Zaha up front.
In the recent January window though, they acquired the services of former Premier League winner Michy Batshuayi on a loan deal from Chelsea until the end of the current Premier League campaign.
Apart from this though, there is a lack of firepower in the team. For all of Milivojevic’s hard work in the midfield, the fact that only Zaha and Townsend are able to produce the goods for Palace is something that needs to change quickly.
They are currently 13th on the table and that is also mostly down to the fact that they have only notched up 27 goals all campaign. This is a worrisome factor and the signing of a creative winger who is capable of creating more goalscoring opportunities is certain to lift this team to great heights.
As suggested by Calciomercato, Hodgson may have identified that player to be Werder Bremen’s Kosovo international right-winger Milot Rashica. He is a pacy customer who is extremely tricky on the ball and nearly impossible to stop once he gets going.
He has very good vision and can understand the play very well, which allows him to make various smart runs. His finishing skills are also excellent while his ability to pick out crosses is outstanding.
He made two appearances for Albania before changing loyalties to Kosovo. Since this switch, he has made 20 appearances for his country and has even scored twice, donning the famous number 7 jersey.
He has played in 13 league games for Bremen this term and has scored 4 times. He has even got an assist to his name. His style of play means he can really click alongside Zaha.

This move is an absolute no-brainer for Palace and if Roy Hodgson is able to complete this signing ahead of his rivals, they could then have a really exciting prospect on their hands.
