It has been reported Chelsea are ready to make a swoop for the Leicester City midfielder N’Golo Kante. The French midfielder is expected to leave this summer and now that the Euro 2016 is over the race to sign the player is about to heat up.
However according to Dailystar Chelsea are one the teams that is leading this race and will place a formal bid this week. Antonio Conte is set to take charge of the club officially today and is preparing to make a statement by signing Kante. Paris Saint-Germain were also interested in the midfielder but now have cooled their interest. Kante also have an offer from China but the midfielder is believed to be more interested to remain in Europe.
Leicester signed Kante for £5.6 million last summer and has put a release clause of £20 million. However the transfer fee is expected to be higher than the release clause.
