The Next Sergio Aguero? Who Is This Super Kid (Linked With Arsenal And Manchester United)?

Share

Argentina might have its next big thing ready in Italy, Paulo Dybala has been hitting the high notes at Palermo and seems set for a big money move away from the club. The 21-year-old Argentine has been likened to Sergio Aguero because of the similarity in their playing style. Top clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United are currently monitoring the progress of the young Argentine super kid.

Dybala started his footballing journey in Argentina’s second division, he became the club’s youngest ever goal scorer and the club narrowly missed out on promotion. Dybala played 38 games for Instituto de Cordobo that season and scored 17 goals, which included a couple of hat tricks, this made some waves in Europe and Palermo signed the youngster in 2012.

Speed and trickery

Dybala didn’t really have the best of times at the start of his career at Palermo, the club were even relegated during his time there but they have bounced back into Serie A and Dybala has finally started to show just what he is capable off.

The young striker is known for his finishing and can play as a secondary striker as well, something similar to Sergio Aguero. Dybala is no slouch either and has blistering pace and control of the ball to boot, this is something which is extremely useful as he stretches a lot of defensives with his movement and speed.

He also can pull off an important pass to open defences but this does make him liable to giving the ball away a little too often, Dybala is lightweight as well and did struggle in his first two seasons at Italy as the game was a lot different compared to the Argentina league. He also seems to be one footed, which is one factor he does have to work on to become one of the best players in the world.

Currently, Dybala has scored 12 goals in 27 league games for Palermo, only Carlos Tevez has helped in more goals this season than Dybala, that speaks volumes about the youngster as he adapts and becomes one of the go-to guys for Palermo.

His club have put in a valuation of around €40 million for someone to sign the youngster and come the end of the season, that valuation might not seem that high for a club that does want to sign the next big thing in football.
