The Leaving Crop: 3 Tottenham Stars Who Could Leave The Club This Summer

Tottenham had an excellent last season, finishing 3^rd on the table and securing Champions League qualification. Some would say they should have won the league, given how every other big team failed. The title slipping out of their grasp could only be blamed on the disastrous run of final four games. It was also their inability to turn draws into wins that hampered their chance of being crowned Champions. Pochettino will desperate to sign a striker this summer, given the fatigue issues that Harry Kane is having. But there will also be tweaks within the squad. There will be quite a few departures in order to make space for new incoming players.

The sudden drop in the quality from the starting XI to the fringe players was so significant that it left Tottenham with very little options when their backs were against the wall. Pochettino will definitely reduce the number of passengers in the squad and get players who can contribute to the teams success next season.  The Argentine manager has already brought in Victor Wanyama and Vincent Janssen. Ryan Mason

With Victor Wanyama moving to Tottenham, there ought to be some departures in an already overstocked central midfield region. Mason has been struggling for form under Pochettino, which has hampered his playing time. He was a first-team regular under Tim Sherwood, however after a string of injuries, he has been reduced to a place on the bench. He has been overtaken by Eric Dier in the pecking order and with Wanyama coming in, it’s hard to see him getting much game time. There are have been reports linking him with a move away to Premier League new boys Hull City.

Alex Pritchard

Pritchard was highly rated at the club, however, his loan spell in the second half of last season at West Brom wasn’t’ successful as he didn’t get much playing time. With new players arriving at the club, the England Under-20 international might find playing time hard to come by. Pritchard didn’t travel with the rest of the team to Australia and Norway for their preseason tour, which definitely signals towards his imminent departure. There are reports linking Swansea with a move for the youngster.

Nacer Chadli

Chadli moved to Tottenham in the summer  of 2013 but hasn’t been able to cement a permanent place in the team. His roles have often been confused and apart from getting that odd goal or creating a piece of brilliance here and there, he hasn’t done much during his time at White Hart Lane. His return 25 goals in 119 appearances in his three seasons in north London clearly shows that he has performed way below the expectations everyone had for him.
