Newcastle United fans have started 2013 in a worst possible way. Already standing at 15th in the league, they have also been thrown out of the FA cup by Brighton and Hove Albion during their 3rd round fixture at the Amex stadium last week.
And in top of all that they have to see Demba Ba throughout January as he is featured in the club’s official 2013 calender for the month of January. Before moving to Chelsea at the beginning of this month, Ba was rumoured to be joining many clubs including fellow London club Arsenal . However the striker made the switch to Stamford bridge for an undisclosed fee ending all the speculation about his future.
At one point of time even Newcastle United fans thought they might see Ba at st James’ park this year. All those disgruntled fans will have to wait another three weeks to finally turn the page of their calender.
