It has been an amazing run for Arsenal’s Arsene Wenger over the course of 20 years at charge of the Gunners and now, on what might as well be the farewell for the French boss, the North London team is trying to say goodbye to him in the best way they can, by winning a title after several years.
There have been a lot of ups and downs for the Gunners this season, but they will be looking to bounce back stronger in the second half of the league.
A great winning streak followed by a couple of subpar performances, it feels like this phrase pretty much sums what Arsenal has been over the course of the years, but this time; we’ll let the 10 pictures to do all the talking for us.
The Gunners had a sad start to the new campaign, losing 3 to 4 against Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium and showing what a defensive disaster they were, lowering expectations for what would their season be over the course of the months.

Wenger’s side defeated the soon to be leaders Chelsea at home 3 to nothing and just like this picture, there was no way to stop the Gunners during this matchup.

The English forward scored a deuce past Swansea City, making the Gunners jump to the top of the table alongside Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.

The German proved to be playing one of the best seasons of his successful career while netting a hat trick against Ludogorets on the UEFA Champions League and expectations kept rising for the Gunners fanbase.
8. Giroud bails Wenger
The French striker managed to get a last minute goal against Manchester United and Wenger’s nemesis Jose Mourinho, keeping the defeat less streak alive for at least an extra week.
9. Empty handed at Goodison Park
A 2 to 1 defeat against Everton finally ended Arsenal’s great run and made them trail the leaders by a couple of points, making it very difficult to chase Chelsea.
10. Back to back losses
A 2 to 1 loss to Manchester City raised several concerns on their post Mustafi defence, with the German being injured and they managed a win in the next game.
