Chelsea vs Swansea Preview
Chelsea had a wonderful game last weekend as the side was able to beat the struggling Aston Villa by a comfortable margin of 4 goals to win and this time, they will be travelling to Liberty stadium to face their next opponent i.e Swansea City.
The last time these two sides played, it was the opening day of the season where, all the eyes were on Chelsea because after all, they were the reigning Premier League champions and this was the first test for Jose Mourinho’s side in their bid to retain their crown. Things didn’t go down as expected because Thibaut Courtois was sent off that day and the team’s medical staff was criticized for their handling of Eden Hazard. The game ended all square (2-2) and the sides were settled with a point.
Swansea on the other hand, are currently struggling and are in the 15th spot at this very moment. Gave a great fight last time out to the Mark Hughes’s side Stoke City and the game ended 2-2. In their last 6 games, the Swans have 3 victories at their side and have lost twice. Whereas, Chelsea have won 4 out of their last 6 games and are still unbeaten in the premier league this year.
Chelsea will be without their star man Diego Costa who is now currently serving a one-match additional ban imposed by the FA while the other striker Loic Remy will be on the sidelines due to his groin injury.
Kurt Zouma is the long-term absentee for the club whereas, John Terry, Cahill, and Eden Hazard are all doubtful for the game.
Swans, on the other hand, are not suffering from such major injury crisis, however, their striker Andre Ayew is still recovering from a foot problem but, might return for the game.

However, they have lost to the Swans in the league cup, back in 2013.
Chelsea are looking to keep a fourth consecutive clean sheet at the Liberty Stadium across all competitions.
Diego Costa has scored more goals against Swansea than any other BPL side (five).
The fate is on Chelsea’s side as they are still unbeaten this year. But Swans can give tough fight to the London’s side. Chelsea are currently struggling for their centre backs as all the experienced ones are out injured. Miazga didn’t had much to do in the game but this time, he might have to worry about Gomis and Routledge.
