Swansea Player Ratings vs Arsenal

Swansea (4-4-1-1)

Lukas Fabianksi– 6

Coming up against his former employers, the Polish shot-stopper was unable to do much to stop Arsenal from scoring thrice. Made several good saves, especially off Walcott.

Kyle Naughton – 6.5

Was a decent outlet on the right-hand side. Kept stretching Arsenal’s defence with his runs by the touchline. Got in decent delivery when he found the space to do so. Defended well too. Undervalued player.

Federico Fernandez– 5

The Swansea defense was wide open and Fernandez was to be held culpable on many occasions. Didn’t do much right as Arsenal breached the Swansea defence thrice.

Jordi Amat– 5
Terrible defending on Arsenal’s opening goal. Found himself in similar situations throughout the game as the Arsenal attackers put him and his partner to the sword.

Neil Taylor– 5.5

Was booked for a poor challenge. Struggled to cope with Arsenal’s pace and tenacity. Poor display from the Welshman.

Jack Cork– 5 (Ki 71, 6)

Had a game to forget as a poor header in his own box led to Arsenal and Theo Walcott’s second goal. Struggled to cope with Ozil and Cazorla.

Leroy Fer – 6

Was powerful in midfield and had 3 big chances to level the game for Swansea. He blazed over one of them and the other 2 were straight at Cech.

Modou Barrow– 8 (Rangel 83)

He is a real talent. Monreal could not deal with his pace and looked like shredded cheese for as long as the Gambian was on the pitch. Set up substitute Baston for a goal with his pass.

Wayne Routledge – 6

Was played on the left for his pace but was no match for Bellerin throughout the game.

Leon Britton – 5.5 (Baston 60, 7)

Struggled to impose himself on the game. Several loose touches on the ball. Was brought off to make room for Borja Baston who scored a goal.

Gylfi Sigurdsson- 7

He scored a wonderful goal to get Swansea back in it. Looked like a threat throughout. Started the game upfront but dropped deeper once Borja was brought on. Will look to build on this performance. He is a key player for the Swans.
