Rangers saw out a 4-1 win against Hamilton, courtesy of late penalties from James Tavernier. Steven Gerrard’s men took the lead through Ryan Kent who scored a neat goal at New Douglas Park.
The Gers were comfortable for most of the game but were pegged back by a superb strike from Steven Boyd. However, two late penalty calls saw the Rangers wrap up all 3 points to go 5th on the table.
He made a couple of decent saves to bail out the Gers’ defence and was confident in goal. McGregor was unable to do anything about Boyd’s strike though.
Looked exciting going forward and supplied plenty of crosses from the flank. Tavernier scored both his penalties as well.
Made a couple of vital blocks to keep Hamilton at bay. However, he gave away the ball too cheaply on one or two occasions.
He didn’t have much to do throughout the afternoon. He was also easily disturbed by the Hamilton attack.
He was solid until he picked up a hamstring injury midway through the game.
Looked off the pace throughout the game and failed to supply anything going forward.
He did a good job of disrupting the home side’s momentum and flow. However, he failed to influence much going forward.
He kept the goalkeeper on his toes with two good shots. He was one of the top performers for the Rangers on the day. His pace posed all sorts of problems as well.
Looked bright in the opening stages and almost got on the scoresheet. He was guilty of wasting a glorious chance though.
He was calm and composed throughout the game. The Liverpool loanee has now scored 3 goals in 5 games for Steven Gerrard’s side.
He was arguably the best performer on the day. Picked up the assist for Kent’s goal and got on the scoresheet himself.
Looked to shore things up at the back but was unable to do much after coming on.
Did well with his passing and kept his play simple after coming off the bench.
