Manchester United Lineup to Face West Ham

When Manchester United take on West Ham United at Old Trafford this weekend, there will be huge pressure on Louis van Gaal to change the fortunes of the club. United have spent huge amounts of money in the transfer market and brought many stars to Old Trafford, but they have not been able to be convincing. United suffered a humiliating defeat to Leicester City last time and their defensive fragilities were exposed. But the positive thing about the match was that the United attack did come good and they scored 3 past their opponents. Against the Hammers United need to win the game with their attacking prowess and then hold on to their ground against the physically dominating West Ham side. Here we give a predicted lineup of the Manchester United team against West Ham.

Louis Van Gaal

David De Gea- He has been impressive so far and although he has conceded a number of goals so far this season, the manager must have faith on De Gea, who is considered to be one of the best young keepers around.

Rafael- The Brazilian right back was criticized for hi below average show against Leicester and he needs to justify his place in the team against teams like West Ham. But he will have a busy night against the Hammers.

Marcos Rojo- The left back is a versatile man and he should be asked to man the centre back position in the absence of Tyler Blackett who was red carded in the last game.

Chris Smalling- This is the chance for Smalling to impress his manager with the likes of Blackett and Jones missing from action. Needs to be on his guard the whole night. He has a light thigh problem after picking up a knock in training but Van Gaal will be forced to play with him considering the defensive crisis they are in at the moment.

Luke Shaw- He may be given a chance as Rojo will be shifted back to the centre back position. Apparently has some issues with fitness but it is not that the United boss is spoilt for choices.

Daley Blind- Will be the defensive midfielder for the side against West Ham. The manager has known him for a long time and is likely to entrust him with the tough job against such a dominating side.

Ander Herrera- The Spanish youngster has been one of the positive things about United this season and he will be the central midfielder in this game.

Di Maria- The record club signing has done his job with utmost dedication till now and the Old Trafford crowd would love to see some magic from him again.

Super Trio To Start

Wayne Rooney- Rooney will be dropped deep with the likes of Falcao and RvP upfront and the Englishman will be the captain for his side trying to inspire them to a victory.

Falcao- The on-loan Columbian did not have too positive a night against Leicester the other day and he would like to get into the scoresheet against the Hammers this week.

Robin Van Persie- Although Van Persie has not been the best of the players this season, he did score against Leicester and United would hope that he again does something special.
