Strongest Manchester United Line up To Play Against Newcastle – Di Maria Returns, Falcao And RVP To Lead The Attack

Share

The Manchester United freight train came to an unexpected stop when they were held 1-1 by 10 man Aston Villa, although it was Villa who took lead against United, the team from Manchester fought back and Radamel Falcao scored the equalizer.

Villa were then reduced to 10 men but United could not seize the opportunity to continue their winning streak. They next face Newcastle in a crazy round of Christmas fixtures which sees teams play 3 games in 7 days.

This is a perfect time to rotate the squad and here we have the predicted line up that United will field against Newcastle on Boxing Day.

David De Gea

No doubt about this position, the best goalkeeper in the Premier League will start barring some freak injury. De Gea is irreplaceable and is in the form of his life.

Luke Shaw

The big money defender might make his return to the side, he has come back to training and this game would be perfect for his return.

Phil Jones

Jones played in the centre of defence in the last game and should continue in the heart of the defence with Rojo.

Marcos Rojo

Rojo seems to play a little better when he is in the heart of the defence and should continue to be in the middle of the defence.

Antonio Valencia

Antonio Valencia seems to be growing in his position as the Manchester United right back and should play against Newcastle.

Marouane Fellaini

Fellaini missed the game due to illness against Aston Villa and his presence in midfield was missed. The Belgian has come back into the team really well and he deserves to be back in the squad and he should be fit enough to play.

Michael Carrick

Carrick coming back to the team is great news for all United fans, his level of passing and control in the midfield has often been missed at United and should continue playing in the heart of midfield.

Angel Di Maria

Angel Di Maria came on as a substitute against Aston Villa and although he didn’t do much, him returning to the starting XI is great news for Manchester United. Di Maria will be a threat against Newcastle and hopefully should do well in his return to the starting XI.

Wayne Rooney

Wayne Rooney loves scoring against Newcastle, but even more importantly he should replace Juan Mata. The Spaniard had a disappointing game against Aston Villa and should be replaced in midfield as Angel di Maria and Wayne Rooney would occupy the central roles.

Robin Van Persie

The Dutchman should partner with Falcao upfront, he has found form hard to come by this season but the two make a great combination and will be threat against Newcastle.

Radamel Falcao

The Colombian should continue playing for United; he looked sharp and scored the only goal for the team to draw them level last time around.
