Strongest Arsenal Lineup To Face Hull City: Rest Ramsey And Start Walcott

Share

Arsenal are high-flying in the premier league, leading the table with the difference of four points. But the Gunners are closely followed by Jose Mourinho led Chelsea team and an unpredictable Manchester City. Arsenal face Hull City in the mid-week match. It’s very important for the gunners to secure all three points in the game to maintain the gap at the top.

Let’s predict the Strongest lineup Arsene Wenger will put up against the visitors, keeping in mind that their current first team players deserves a random rests too.

Goal Keeper

Szczesny

Szczesny – the rising goal keeper

With five clean sheets in this premier league season, Szczesny is probably the most improved goal keeper in the league. He has always been a good shot stopper. But sometimes, he was criticized for his immature handling of things in serious situations (remember that one-two pass with Sturridge?). But, life at top seems to have instilled super confidence into the Polish goalkeeper. He made some crucial saves in last few games. He is (becoming) a world class keeper Arsenal deserves.

Right Back

Bacary Sagna

Sagna – Mr.Consistency

Who else can it be? One of the most consistent player in Arsenal history. French international rarely have a bad game. Many belived his career with Arsenal was over with some serious injuries during last two seasons, but he came-back well  and his current form should earn him a new contract too. Wenger you listening?

Left Back

Nacho Monreal

Monreal deserves a start

This is a tricky one. Arsenal have two solid left backs in the name of Nacho Monreal and Kieran Gibbs. Both have their own strengths and weakness. Monreal is more balanced than Gibbs, but the English defender edges the former in attacking department. But it’s vital for Wenger to keep Monreal happy at the club, especially with World Cup coming up. Monreal to start the game.

Central Defenders

Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny

In-form Mertesacker

This hybrid German-French partnership is going from strengths to strengths as the season progresses. Mertesacker brings an aura of calmness and discipline to the Arsenal defense while his French counterpart injects pace and tenacity to the setup. Even though club captain, Vermalean is warming the bench, Wenger  should go with the same pair. Why change the winning formula?

Midfielders

Rest Ramsey

Wilshere , Flamini , Ozil

Arsenal have tremendous abundance  and variety in this department. Ramsey and Wilshere have been terrific since the start of the season. But the Welshman do deserve a rest so that there won’t be any burning out issue during the later stages of the campaign. Flamini who scored his first return goal against Cardiff should start the game along with Jack while Ozil takes up his usual no 10 role behind Olivier Giroud.

Forwards

Cazorla, Walcott, Giroud

Walcott is back

Theo Walcott who is completely fit after a stomach injury should start the game in the right wing. His pace and acceleration will keep the opponents in the back foot during most parts of the game. With Theo in the squad,  Ozil can get more opportunity to showcase his super playmaking skills. One magic pass from Ozil can put Theo clear on the goal.

Cazorla, who is yet to show his full powers this season should start in the right while Olivier Giroud will spearhead the attack (they dont have any other options here).
