Antonio Conte’s Italy side is looking good at the Euro 2016 tournament and it will be interesting to see how they perform further in the competition, after a positive start. The former Juventus manager will be expected to bring such composure and solidity at Chelsea as well in the upcoming campaign, as he takes over at Stamford Bridge after the current tournament in France concludes.

It will be interesting to see what changes Conte brings to the west London side, when he does indeed join them, with a host of players being linked with the club at present.

One such player who will be expected to make a difference to the Blues’ squad is Spain international Alvaro Morata, who has been linked with the club in recent times, after being wanted by their rivals Arsenal first.

It is still not certain whether or not the Premier League giants will sign him or not, though a move is definitely on the cards now, as the player is expected to leave Turin soon and has already made his demands clear to both parties, who are interested in his services.

However, in case he does join Conte’s side, the Spaniard could actually be the perfect player to complement Eden Hazard and Willian, at the club.

Morata is not a profound goal scorer, but a creative striker as well. The 23 year old superstar creates a lot of chances for his team-mates, which he has show during his time at Juve and Real Madrid, prior to that.

He could link up well with the Belgian play-maker and the Brazilian winger, who failed to replicate their performances from the 2014-15 campaign, last term, as Chelsea finished at 10th place in the points table.

Morata made a total of 44 league appearances for the Serie A champions in the previous campaign, 20 of which came as substitutes, while the others were starts. He managed to score a tally of 11 goals and claim 9 assists in those matches and was impressive in bits and parts, though the lack of regular first team football would have surely had an impact on his performances.

The attacker is a really talented player and Conte would know his worth and what he can add to the team, though the only doubt in the new manager’s mind could be the fee that the Londoners need to pay for him and his wage demands.

If Chelsea agree to spend that kind of money on their target and beat the Gunners, he could be at the club prior to the start of the new season. Morata is currently representing his national side at the Euros in France and recently scored for Spain in the 3-0 win against Turkey, in the group stages of the competition.
