Predicted Everton line-up to face Arsenal in the Premier League

Everton travel to the Emirates to face Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday, with Marco Silva in desperate need of a response.

The Toffees were thrashed 3-1 at home by West Ham United on Sunday, with Silva suffering his first league defeat as Everton boss.

Silva’s men now face a tricky trip to the Emirates this weekend as Arsenal are in high spirits after three wins on the spin in the Premier League.

Team News

Everton will welcome Richarlison back from a three-game suspension, however, Silva will be without defenders Michael Keane, Phil Jagielka and Seamus Coleman.

Summer signings Andre Gomes and Yerry Mina still remain unavailable, while Beni Baningime and James McCarthy are long-term casualties.

Probable Everton XI

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Manager: Marco Silva

Jordan Pickford (GK)

Jordan Pickford is almost certainly set to keep his place in goal at the weekend.

Jonjoe Kenny (RB)

With Coleman out injured, Kenny is set to continue deputising at right-back.

Mason Holgate (CB)

Holgate had a very poor game against West Ham and needs to step up his game. He has to be at the top of his game against Arsenal’s nippy attackers.

Kurt Zouma (CB)

Zouma hasn’t looked utterly imperious at the back for Everton so far. The Frenchman should start taking extra responsibility and lead the team by an example.

Lucas Digne (LB)

Digne was one of the few players to impress against West Ham. He is set to retain his place in the team.

Morgan Schneiderlin (CM)

Schneiderlin seems to lack the confidence in himself as he continues to commit errors. It’s high time he starts delivering the goods for the manager.

Idrissa Gueye

Idrissa Gueye (CM)

Idrissa Gueye has blown hot and cold so far this season. He needs to bring consistency to his game before time runs out.

Theo Walcott (RW)

Theo Walcott should start on the right wing against Arsenal and he will be pumped up to prove a point against his former employers.

Gylfi Sigurdsson (CAM)

With his set-piece deliveries and creativity, Sigurdsson has the ability to hurt Arsenal at any given time.

Bernard (LW)

Bernard will look to stretch the Arsenal defence with his pace and dribbling skills. On his day, the diminutive Brazilian can be unplayable.

Richarlison (ST)

With Cenk Tosun royally struggling in front of goal, a gamble could be on the cards with starting Richarlison as a striker, as the Brazilian’s pace and movement could cause problems for Shkodran Mustafi and Sokratis Papastathopoulos in the Arsenal defence.
