Chelsea’s young defender Tomas Kalas recently revealed that he is ready to complete a permanent transfer away from Stamford Bridge if a good offer comes.
Kalas spent his last 16 months on loan at Middlesbrough and has been a regular first team member at the club. Middlesbrough have not made an offer so far, but the 23-year-old is determined that his progress will hinder if he stays at Chelsea.
With Zouma out injured and Ivanovic not at his best, the Blues will try to sign a more establish defender in the summer.
Kalas told the Evening Gazette: “I don’t know how many games I’ve played since I came – probably around 40, which is not bad in one and a half years.”
“That’s why I came here, to play games and hopefully I’ll keep playing next season – maybe here.”
“If I could get the deal to move to Boro permanently, I would really think about it. Yes, why not?”
