Shock! Chelsea Striker Left Out Of 40 Men International Squad

Share

Radamel Falcao or better known as “El Tigre” has been left out of Colombia’s 40-men squad for the Copa America.
Falcao is considered as country’s most recognized striker, yet he has been left out due to his poor performance in recent years. The striker missed the 2014 world due to an injury and since that, he has observed a a great downfall in his career.

Falcao is currently playing with Chelsea as a loanee from the french side AS Monaco. In his 10 appearances for the blues, he has been successful with just 40% of his attempted take-ons in the Premier League and has scored just one goal.

Chelsea loanee Juan Cuadrado has been included along with Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina. Real Madrid midfielder James Rodriguez, who was so impressive at the 2014 World Cup, is amongst the players in the squad.

Falcao has scored 24 goals in 63 games for Colombia since making his debut in 2007, but he has witnessed a very down time in his career due to his injuries.

The Copa America gets underway on June 3rd, with Colombia taking on United States, Costa Rica and Paraguay in the group stages.
