Sheffield United opinion: Blades in for Joe Hart – Good move?

According to a report in Sun, Premier League’s new boys Sheffield United are interested in signing former England goalkeeper Joe Hart during this transfer window.

The Blades have already expressed their interest in getting Dean Henderson back to their fold but they are looking at the former Manchester City stopper to cover up that position. (h/t Sun)

Hart is currently plying his trade at Burnley, where he is competing with two very good goalkeepers in Tom Heaton and Nick Pope for a spot in the team. As of now, he is third-choice at Turf Moor.

He has openly expressed his desire to leave the club in order to resurrect his career. And a host of English clubs have looked into his situation in the recent past. (h/t Sun)

Here’s why signing Hart would be good for all parties, especially Sheffield United:

Hart’s experience would help the Blades

Despite not being at his best for the past two to three seasons, Joe Hart remains one of the top keepers in the league without a shadow of doubt.

The former England international was probably one of the best in the world when he was playing for Manchester City not long ago. However, due to a conflicting style, he was left out of the club by Pep Guardiola.

In terms of his attributes, Hart is one of the better shot-stoppers in the game, with great agility and ability to dive and cover a large portion of the goal. He is good at cutting down the angle from short-range attempts as well.

Furthermore, his experience of playing in the Premier League will be paramount for any club he joins in the future. If Sheffield United are looking to sign him, they are doing the right thing.

Conclusion

All in all, we can conclude by saying that the Blades shouldn’t hesitate to make a move to sign Joe Hart this summer.
