Setback for Chelsea Boss Jose Mournho as FA awaits Response to Misconduct

According to reports, Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has just two days left to respond to a misconduct charge placed on him, from the Football Association as his problems this term show no signs of being resolved. Mourinho was charged on Monday evening for his comments after the Blues’ 3-1 defeat over Southampton in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, which means that they are currently at the 16th place in the points table.

The Portuguese manager had been earlier given the backing of the club, though his side had shown a major drop in their form, from being champions one season to dropping just above the relegation zone a few months later. Things got worse for Mourinho, as on Saturday his side suffered yet another defeat, a fourth in eight league games this term, in front of owner Roman Abramovich.

Further, it seems now that the FA has once again charged him over his comments about referee Robert Madley. A statement was issued by the governing body of English football, which read as, “Jose Mourinho has been charged for misconduct in relation to media comments he made following Chelsea’s game against Southampton on Saturday 3 October 2015. It is alleged his remarks constitute improper conduct in that they allege and/or imply bias on the part of a match official or match officials and/or bring the game into disrepute. He has until 6pm on Thursday 8 October 2015 to respond to the charge.”
