Scouting For Wenger – Three Super Star Left Wingers Arsenal Should Sign

Share

It’s the beginning of the January transfer market and while some clubs don’t plan any changes other are set to revolutionize their squads. Premier League leaders Arsenal might be back in action this window after splashing the cash on big-name Mesut Ozil transfer, back on the deadline day in August.

Recently Theo Walcott is the only in-form winger in the side, Lucas Podolski has just recovered from an injury and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is still injured. As a consequence Arsene Wenger could set his eyes on a new winger, who would join the Gunners with same success as Ozil did. Also If Arsenal could spend big money again, what superstar forward would they target?

1. Marco Reus | Borussia Dortmund

Marco Reus

Currently one of world’s best wingers is a transfer target not only for Arsenal but also Manchester United which looks forward to strengthen their squad with effective and secure players after a bad season half.

Marco‘s national mate Mesut Ozil, who has moved to Emirates during summer, could play a huge role in luring Reus away from BVB. Following Borussia‘s bad results in the league both Reus and Lewandowski could be searching for a move out of the Schwarzgelben.

2. Stephan el Shaarawy | AC Milan

El Shaarawy

Serie A Young Footballer of the Year 2012, one of the greatest football prodigies, known for his  dribbling skills and technique. El Shaarawy, aged 21, is perhaps one of the most rumoured players to leave every single transfer window, but somehow Milan have managed to ‘rescue‘ their starlet from being captured by a better club. However recently Shaarawy underwent a foot surgery and will be out until March. This could mean the Italian winger will extend his stay at Milan, at least until this season‘s end. Nevertheless, as soon as the Pharaoh would make his return and be back in top-class form, various clubs would revert their interest in this young star.

3. Pedro Rodriguez | FC Barcelona

Last but not least is Barcelona’s Pedrito who has recently showed some outstanding performances, scoring a hattrick against Getafe in La Liga. Versatile star can play both in left and right wing. The Spaniard could leave the Catalan giants if he did not find a place in Tata Martino’s lineup. Alexis Sanchez, Neymar, Cristian Tello along with various La Masia’s wingers might steal Pedro’s place in the starting 11.

He would then have to leave the club in search of match practice, with the Premier League as the most probable destiny for the Spanish winger. Yet the 26-year-old  has snubbed all interested clubs ahead of the January market, stating he plans to remain at the club until the end of this season and see how things would go for him at Camp Nou.
