Roman Abramovich Is Ready To Sack Benitez And Bring Avram Grant Back To Chelsea

Share

Reports from several UK dailies have revealed that frustrated Chelsea owner is ready to sack interim manager Rafa Benitez and bring in his former manager Avram Grant back to Stamford Bridge for a second stint at the managerial job.

Benitez has been interim manager for only three games but is yet to win, and fans are completely against him. It will be Chelsea’s forth manager in a year if this shock move takes place and Chelsea could end their season in a disaster if Grant also has a mediocre start to his campaign.

However Benitez seems to be positive about his side and hopes there will be a turn around. Taking to the press after the a heavey defeat suffered at the hands of West Ham, Benitez said:

“Things will change,” declared Benitez, “I was angry at the end. I think the players were angry, too. They know this is not the ideal situation and that, if I am here, it is because something was wrong and that they are not at the level everyone expects.

“I knew this job woukd be a challenge, but I’m sure the team is good enough to win things and, if we win matches, everyone will be happier.”

The Blues fans are totally against the former Liverpool and Inter boss and there were Rafa Out banners all over the stands and signing to the tune  ‘Roman Abramovich, is this what you want?’

Abramovich who is passionate about his club is having a hard time finding the right replacement for Roberto Di Matteo and could possibly land his former manager Avram Grant with the backing from their fans who are against Benitez but not against Roman.
