Rodgers To Make 3 Changes – Strongest 4-2-3-1 Celtic Line-Up To Face Dundee FC

Predicted Celtic Line-up To Face Dundee In The Scottish Premiership

Celtic will look to pull further away from the chasing pack in the Scottish Premiership, when they face off against Dundee FC, at the Dens Park on Tuesday.

The Hoops come into the game on the back of an impressive 3-0 win over second-placed Aberdeen and sit 8 points above the Dons in the table, with 47 points from 20 games. And manager Brendan Rodgers will be keen on registering another victory ahead of the big derby against Rangers in the coming weekend. Celtic are unbeaten in their 18 trips to Dens Park in the Scottish Premiership and will be hoping to extend that run on Tuesday.

Team News

Midfielder Tom Rogic is out until the new year with a knee problem and on-loan winger Patrick Roberts has returned to Manchester City for treatment on a hamstring injury, that has ruled him out for three months. Defender Anthony Ralston remains out as he recovers from a knee problem.

Manager: Brendan Rodgers

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Craig Gordon (GK)

The veteran Scottish shot-stopper is an ever-present between the sticks for the Hoops. Don’t expect that to change.

Mikael Lustig (RB)

The Swedish right-back comes into the game high on confidence after scoring in the weekend win over Aberdeen. Will want to carry on from where he left off.

Jozo Simunovic (CB)

The Bosnian centre-half hasn’t been in the best of forms since his return from injury. Will want to address that against Dundee, if he gets a start ahead of Kristoffer Ajer.

Kieran Tierney

Dedryck Boyata (CB)

The former Manchester City man has been a permanent fixture in the heart of the defence for the Hoops. Should retain his place.

Kieran Tierney (LB)

Put in another extremely impressive display over the weekend against the Dons and will want to make a similar impact on Tuesday.

Scott Brown (CM)

The club captain doesn’t always get the credit his performances in the middle of the park deserve. A definite starter for Rodgers’ side.

Stuart Armstrong (CM)

The Scottish international has been in good form in the past couple of weeks. Should keep his place in the starting XI.

Jonny Hayes (RW)

The summer signing scored his first goal for the club this past weekend, and Rodgers might look to give him another run out on Tuesday.

Leigh Griffiths

Callum McGregor (CAM)

The Scot did not feature from the start against Aberdeen but should be recalled for the clash at the Dens Park tomorrow.

Scott Sinclair (LW)

The 28-year old Englishman has had a bit of an on and off season this term. Will need to start firing on a consistent basis.

Leigh Griffiths (ST)

The Scottish striker hasn’t seen a lot of game time of late and Tuesday’s game presents Rodgers with a perfect opportunity to hand him a start.
