Predicted Celtic Line-up To Face Rangers In The Scottish Premiership

Celtic will look to clinch their seventh successive Scottish Premiership title when they take on arch-rivals Rangers at the Celtic Park on Sunday noon.

The Hoops let go of an opportunity to lift the title last weekend when they were beaten 2-1 away from home by Hibernian FC. Brendan Rodgers’ side will be hoping to bounce back from that loss and take home the trophy on Sunday. The chance to do so against the club’s biggest rivals will act as an added incentive for the players.

Probable Celtic XI

Manager: Brendan Rodgers

Formation: 3-4-2-1

Craig Gordon (GK)

The veteran shot-stopper has made a strong return from injury and will be keen on putting up a solid display on Sunday.

Jack Hendry (CB)

The January signing from Dundee FC hasn’t been able to make the desired impact at the back. A strong performance on Sunday against the Gers would go a long way in helping him settle down.

Jozo Simunovic (CB)

Following another poor performance from Dedryck Boyata against the Hibs last weekend, Bosnian centre-half Jozo Simunovic should get a recall into the three-man defence for Sunday’s game.

Kristoffer Ajer (CB)

The Norwegian youngster has been the breakout star of the season for the Bhoys. The calmness, the composure and the maturity he has shown at the back belie his young age.

James Forrest (RWB)

The Scottish international has gone missing somewhat, after a brilliant first-half of the season. Needs to find his goalscoring mojo back.

Scott Brown (CM)

The club captain always steps up for the big occasion and will be relishing the opportunity of winning the title against the Light Blues.

Stuart Armstrong (CM)

The 26-year-old had rediscovered his form in recent weeks but a calf problem saw him miss the last couple of games. Fit once again, he is likely to be in for Olivier Ntcham.

Kieran Tierney (LWB)

The Celtic left-back did not have the best of days against the Hibs last week. Will want to bounce back with a strong display.

Tom Rogic (RAM)

The Aussie playmaker starred for the Hoops in their big win over Gers in the cup semi-finals a couple of weeks back. Will be keen on making a similar impact on Sunday.

Tom Rogic

Callum McGregor (LAM)

Alongside Rogic, Scottish midfielder Callum McGregor will look to provide the attacking impetus for the reigning champions in the final third.

Moussa Dembele (ST)

The Frenchman missed the game against Hibernian due to an injury problem. Having returned to full fitness, he is guaranteed to replace Leigh Griffiths at the tip of the attack.
