According to the latest reports, Arsenal are trying to sign Antoinne Griezmann from Real Sociedad for a discounted price.
The French winger who had an impressive season has a €30million release clause in his contract. And with many top clubs like PSG and Manchester United targeting him, it will be tough for Sociedad to keep hold of him this summer.
Meanwhile, Arsenal have an option to buy Carlos Vela back for just €4million. This means the Spanish club may lose two of their influential players for just €34million.
But, Arsenal are willing to work out a plan so that Sociedad can keep atleast one of the above mentioned star. Condition for the deal is, if Sociedad sell Griezmann to Arsenal for a discounted price of €16million, then the gunners are ready to remove the buy back clause from Vela’s contract. Win-Win Situation for both the clubs. In case, if Sociedad are not willing to sell Griezmann for cheap price, Arsenal can then activate Vela’s clause and bring him back to Emirates. Master plan indeed.
