Guess who is the talk of the town at the moment? It’s none other than Manchester United’s rising star Adnan Januzaj. 18 year old teenage sensation produced a stunning display yesterday to secure much needed three points for the Red Devils against Sunderland. Januzaj bagged a brace in the match including a super volley goal.
In between all the comparisons with club legends like Ronaldo and Beckham, England manager Roy Hodgson has confirmed that he would want Januzaj to play for the three Lions.
During his appearance on Match of the Day Hodgson said,
“I think he’s got a choice of countries to play for,”
“Obviously, he has been called up by Belgium several times and chosen not to at the moment.
“He can play for several countries – and England as well. I don’t know how that is. I think it’s something to do with his residency.”
“Yeah down the line if he becomes naturalised or if he becomes a homegrown product.”
“He’s been with United for a long period of time and of course that discussion will have to be seriously debated before we start naturalising players.”
“There’s no doubt that he’s a real talent and we have our eyes on him but a lot will have to be discussed.”
Astonishingly, Januzaj can play for quite a number of international sides including Albania, Croatia , England, Turkey as well as his birth country Belgium. Earlier, United manager David Moyes had revealed that the youngster is yet to decide about his international future.
