Leeds United News: Leeds United will have to pay £2 million for Portsmouth starlet Jamal Lowe.
The Whites are one amongst many clubs to show interest in the Portsmouth winger.
The 24-year-old had a great season with Pompey, scoring 16 goals and providing 9 assists across all competitions.
He was pivotal for his side to lift EFL Trophy and to reach the Playoffs before losing to Sunderland in semi-finals.
Lowe started his career with Barnet and played for several clubs over the course before joining the Pompey in 2017.
And the talented English youngster is making great progress which can be seen through the inflation in his scoring rate than compared to the previous seasons.
He is tied with the club until 2021 and Pompey are expecting around £2 million as stated earlier.
The Whites endured a gruesome phase after failing to secure promotion to Premier League.
And Marcelo Bielsa’s attacking options failed to show up in the final third of the Championship.
Manchester City-bound Jack Harrison has fared decently this season and the chance of keeping him is really looking bleak as the Cityzens impose a hefty price tag of £25 million.
Meanwhile, another promising winger Jack Clarke has fallen out of favour at Elland Road lately and is being linked with a move to Tottenham.
Given this, Leeds should look for Lowe, who comes at an affordable cost and has the tendency to influence Bielsa’s side.
At the same time, the Whites will not find it too difficult to bring Lowe to Elland Road after Pompey failed to secure Championship promotion.
