According to the latest reports, Arsenal are about to draw first blood in transfer window and sign Antoine Griezmann from Real Sociedad.
The French forward, 23, has been linked with Arsenal for a long time and the Gunners are now leading the race to get his signature. Griezmann had a stellar season in la liga, bagging more than 15 goals to help his side to finish top 7 in the league.
Griezmann’s teammate Carlos Vela is also a summer target for the gunners. Earlier reports suggested that if Sociedad sell Griezmann to Arsenal, then the North London side will remove the buy back clause from Carlos Vela’s contract, allowing Sociedad to retain at-least one of their important stars.
Italian champions Juventus and French league winners PSG are also monitoring the situation and are willing to fight for the pacey winger. So, Arsenal need to act fast and finalize the deal as soon as possible to avoid losing their long-term target.
