According to the latest reports, AC Milan management are ready to sell their striker Mario Balotelli for a discounted price of just £14m.
Balotelli’s average display at the World cup, coupled with his off the pitch controversies are the main reason behind this sudden price drop of the player’s value.
After Italy got eliminated, AC Milan chairman Berlusconi openly admitted that it will be tough to find suitors in the market for Balotelli after such disastrous performance in Brazil.
Berlusconi told reporters,
“Other than Italy, I lost in the World Cup.
“I was about to sell Balotelli to an English team for several millions. But after this World Cup, who will buy him anymore?”
Before the World Cup, Balotelli was heavily linked with a move to Arsenal. The Gunners have already signed Alexis Sanchez and it is believed that Debuchy and Khedira are also on their way to join the North London club. Even after all these signings, Arsenal should not pass this opportunity to sign Ballotelli as not many world class players will be available as cheap as this and he is a definitely an upgrade over Olivier Giroud.
Liverpool who recently sold Luis Suarez to Barcelona are also interested in signing the former Manchester City star.
