3 Marquee Signings Liverpool Can Make With Suarez Money

Share

With Barcelona finally having acquired the services of Uruguayan forward, Luis Suarez, for a whopping £75m, Brendan Rogers can now splurge on a wider market and bring in some talented youth products in the making. This gives them a chance to increase their squad depth, which will be quite crucial for this season around, considering they play Champions League football after finishing 2nd in last year’s Premier League. Let’s take a look at 3 high profile players Liverpool might look to romp in, which surely takes their dominating force to another level.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan:

With Adam Lallana already in the Reds pocket early on in this transfer window, another attacking midfielder would be a big boost. This Dortmund and Armenian player can bring a great amount of pace to the game. Considering that Suarez is out of contention, a great deal of responsibility falls on the shoulders of England international, Daniel Sturridge. A regular rotation between Lallana, Mkhitaryan and Sturridge would be better suited to their game. The 25 year old has racked up an impressive 13 goals in his 45 appearances for his debut season at Dortmund.

He is one player who can exploit the opposition’s defense and clear the lines to give brilliant passes to the lone striker up front. With such vision and creativity, Liverpool should clearly show a renewed interest in him. Interestingly, his bid was rejected last year because of no European front football. Seeing as they are in all cup tournaments possible, a forth coming proposition might be in good favor this time around.

Wilfried Bony:

Liverpool has been heavily linked up with Swansea City’s main man, Bony. Though the deal is far from over, the Reds have shown interest in the budding striker who can pack a punch along with Sturridge or probably give the much needed pace on the left flank considering Aspas and Moses out of the way, both giving very inconsistent performances last season. The Ivory Coast forward’s movement is very tactical and precise and with such a talented drifter from the wing to the box, the Liverpool attack can mount spectacularly with his addition to the squad. An impressive 25 goals in his 48 appearances for his maiden Premier League season puts his name out in a pool of wonderful strikers all over the world. Aged at just 25, Anfield seems to be the perfect place to reach his peak at take his career to another high.

Marcos Rojo:

Argentina made it to the finals with much pressure going into the back 4 and seeing this Sporting Lisbon left back play his role so well, he will shoot up in the market. He can be very physical and tracking back alongside the opposition keeping the left flank in check. As seen in Brazil, most teams had to sway to the center of the pitch to penetrate the defense. His presence can demolish teams and exploiting his defensive abilities cannot be matched as easily as any other ordinary defender.  Brendan Rogers should take a close look at this rising wonder for the new season that’s coming up. There has always been deteriorating signs in the back four especially on the left side with much work to do. His acquisition will be a huge buy and might put fear into their rival teams for the title.
