Proud Moment For Manchester United Fans!

Share

Wayne Rooney is not having the best of times in the Premier League for Manchester United at the moment, but things might change for him soon it seems. The England skipper made a speech in the dressing room after he broke Sir Bobby Charlton’s goalscoring record for The Three Lions, describing it as a “huge moment”.

In total, the former Everton youngster has scored an incredible tally of 300 goals for club and country and netted a penalty in England’s 2-0 win over Switzerland to complete 50 goals for the national side. The 29 year old forward was not only applauded in the dressing room by his teammates, but also by the backroom staff before finally he made his speech.

Surely a proud moment for all the Red Devils’ fans, who would hope that Rooney can now take this as a moral booster and deliver in the league as well.

Manager Louis van Gaal has faith in the striker’s ability and should once again start him in the big clash against Liverpool.
