Predicting The Top 4 Next Season: Arsenal The Surprise Winners, Manchester Clubs Back To Their Best

Share

We are just few days away from the start of the Premier League and looking how the summer has been, one can be assured that it’s going to be tightest title race in Premier League era. Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea have new managers in the office. The league will be have the world’s top managers competing against one another for the first time. Guardiola and Mourinho will be fighting against each other for bragging right in Manchester. Klopp who took over at Liverpool mid-way last season, will be hoping for some success in first full year at Anfield.

Wenger on the other hand is desperate to end Premier League drought that has persisted since the invincible last won it in 2004.

With United and Chelsea out of Europe this season, they can put all their effort on the domestic campaign, finishing in the top four will be the minimum target that Mourinho and Conte will have at their respective clubs. City who struggled last season to find any sort of consisting, will be seeing this as a start of something special under Pep Guardiola.

We saw glimpses of Klopp’s abilities last year but this year will be a much tougher battle, as all the other big clubs have strengthened in the summer. He will need to find that consistency that Liverpool missed last season, even though they played attractive football in patches.

We should not forget the threat Tottenham, West Ham and Leicester City pose to these perennial big clubs. It will be very difficult for Leicester to repeat last year’s achievement, but they can definitely challenge for Europe given the talent that they possess in their squad.

Tottenham would have been dissapointed to have finished 3rd on the table, when at one point they were in the thick of the title battle, there end of season collapse will be a cause of worry for Pochettino. The poor form of Harry Kane will also be causing worry, especially given the fact that Spurs don’t have a suitable cover for the English forward.

West Ham though not title challengers but with a talent like Payet in their squad, they will be a big threat to the other teams on top. It is still hard to predict who will be favourite for the title but looking at the managers in charge and the new arrivals, it’s looking more and more like that City, United, Chelsea and Arsenal could finish in those top four spots come May 2017.

City have already brought in two very quality signings in the form of Gundogan and Nolito, while Mourinho has been quick to secure the services of Eric Bailly, Ibrahimovic and Mkhitaryan, the trio will bring with them a lot of quality and creativity to the team.

Arsene Wenger will be regretting the fact that he didn’t go out and buy a striker last summer, as it was the lack for fire power up front that eventually costed the Gunners the title. He will be desperately working right now to bring that World Class forward that Arsenal fans have been crying for. If he does manage to get a striker, who can challenge Giroud for the starting birth and provide that extra quality in the box, then Arsenal have enough creativity in the middle of the pitch to be a huge force next season.
