Leicester City will clash against Premier League newcomers Brighton & Hove Albion in their second game of the Premier League, at the King Power Stadium, on Saturday.
The Foxes endured a frustrating opening day, as they lost the curtain raiser event, 4-3 to Arsenal, conceding two very late goals. Manager Craig Shakespeare will be hoping to open their account against the Seagulls, who were defeated 2-0 by Manchester City in their season opener.
Shakespeare will be without summer signing Vicente Iborra, as the midfielder recovers from a groin strain. Fellow midfielder Danny Drinkwater is also a slight doubt due to a thigh problem while veteran centre-half Robert Huth has been ruled out due to an ankle injury.
After having let in four goals past him in the opener, he will be itching to keep a shut-out this time around.
The 30-year old has been a consistent performer in the Premier League and will continue to feature at right-back for Leicester.
The captain will start in the heart of the defence for the Foxes. Will be keen on avoiding the late capitulation that happened at Arsenal.
Did enjoy a strong debut until the last few minutes, where his team ended up losing the game. Will hope for an improved performance this time around.
At left-back, it is unlikely that Shakespeare will make a change. He will persist with the experienced Fuchs ahead of Ben Chilwell.
The Algerian looks set to stay at the King Power for the coming season and if he performs the way he did against the Gunners, he will once again be the Foxes’ MVP.
The 26-year old started his first Premier League game in over two years. With Drinkwater and Iborra both unavailable, he will retain his place in the playing XI.
The 20-year old offers a dynamic presence in the middle of the park for the Foxes. Has become an important member and is a definite starter.
Was one of the biggest attacking outlets for Leicester in the season opener at the Emirates, and he will want to build upon a strong first game.
The summer signing came on late in the opener, but we could see him start the tie against the Seagulls, with Shinji Okazaki dropping to the bench.
The Englishman was off the blocks very quickly, grabbing a double in the season opener. Will be wanting to add more to his tally, against Brighton on Saturday.
