Predicted Brighton & Hove Albion Lineup To Face Leicester City In The Premier League

Brighton & Hove Albion will clash against Leicester City in their second Premier League fixture, on Saturday, at the King Power Stadium.

The Seagulls kicked off their maiden Premier League campaign with a 2-0 loss against Manchester City last weekend and manager Chris Hughton will be hoping that his wards manage to put up a stronger fight against the Foxes, who are coming into the game on the back of a 4-3 defeat against Arsenal last Friday night.

Team News

Summer signing Izzy Brown, who is on loan from Chelsea, is a major doubt for the game due to a hamstring injury he sustained against the Citizens, while midfielder Beram Kayal (broken leg) and forward Sam Baldock (calf injury) are confirmed absentees for the game.

Manager: Chris Hughton

Formation: 4-4-1-1

Matthew Ryan (GK)

The Australian international impressed against the Citizens in the opener, despite conceding two goals. Will man the goal once again.

Bruno (RB)

The veteran defender and captain is expected to continue as the first-choice right-back against the Foxes. Will need to keep Marc Albrighton quiet.

Bruno

Shane Duffy (CB)

The former Evertonian centre-half is very much likely to keep his place in the heart of the defence at the King Power Stadium.

Lewis Dunk (CB)

The best defender in the Championship last season had an unlucky start in the top-flight, scoring an own goal against City. Expect him to bounce back stronger.

Markus Suttner (LB)

The summer arrival has soon established himself as the preferred personnel at left-back for Hughton and will start again. Will face a tough test against Riyad Mahrez.

Solly March (RM)

The 23-year old was given the nod last weekend and with Anthony Knockaert still working his way towards full fitness, expect March to start again.

Dale Stephens (CM)

Signed a new long-term contract with the club at the end of last season and will look to repay the club’s faith with strong performacnes in the middle of the park.

Dale Stephens

Davy Propper (CM)

Stephens will be partnered by new signing Davy Propper in the central midfield. The Dutchman had a strong debut last weekend and will look to build on that performance.

Jamie Murphy (LM)

Was overlooked in favour of Izzy Brown for the opener, but with the Chelsea loanee a doubt, we could see Murphy being handed a start at the King Power.

Pascal Gross (SS)

The summer arrival has blended in well with the squad and had a strong pre-season. Will start the game and play off the main striker.

Glenn Murray (ST)

The veteran forward was benched for the opener due to fitness problems, but could get the nod ahead of Tomer Hemed at the King Power.
