Bilic To Make 4 Changes – Predicted 4-3-3 West Ham United Lineup To Face Newcastle United

Predicted West Ham United Lineup To Face Newcastle United In The Premier League

West Ham United will face off against Newcastle United in the third match-week of the Premier League, at the St. James’ Park on Saturday afternoon.

The Hammers are yet to register a single point in the English top-flight, just like their weekend opposition, having lost their first two fixtures, against Manchester United and Southampton. However, a first win of the campaign, a 2-0 triumph against Cheltenham United in the EFL Cup on Wednesday night should give them a much-needed confidence boost going into this game against the Tyneside outfit.

Team News

Striker Andy Carroll still remains a doubt for the game due to a groin strain, while playmaker Manuel Lanzini too is unlikely to feature. Defensive stalwart Winston Reid is a confirmed absentee after he picked up a calf injury during the warm-ups before the game against Southampton. Marko Arnautovic is ruled out as he serves his suspension.

Manager: Slaven Bilic

Formation: 4-3-3

Joe Hart (GK)

The England international was benched for the midweek game, but expect him to replace Adrian, against the Magpies.

Pablo Zabaleta (RB)

The former Manchester City man did not have the best of the games against Southampton last week, conceding a late penalty. Will want to bounce back strongly.

Jose Fonte (CB)

Another defender who gave away a penalty against the Saints, Fonte too will be keen on putting up a better showing this time around.

Joe Hart

Angelo Ogbonna (CB)

The Italian international is expected to keep his place in the heart of the defence, in the absence of Winston Reid.

Aaron Cresswell (LB)

The 27-year old Englishman will come back into the playing XI, replacing Arthur Masuaku who started against Cheltenham.

Pedro Obiang (CM)

The Spaniard is a constant fixture in the West Ham midfield and it is unlikely that it would change at the St. James’ Park.

Declan Rice (CM)

The 18-year old has earned great plaudits already this season for his impressive performances. Expect him to keep his place in the middle of the park.

Javier Hernandez

Edimilson Fernandes (CM)

The 21-year old might move into a deeper midfield position against Newcastle, with captain Mark Noble dropping to the bench.

Michail Antonio (RW)

The England international will return to starting setup on Saturday, after being benched for the midweek cup clash.

Javier Hernandez (ST)

The former Manchester United man grabbed a double against the Saints last weekend and should replace midweek goal-scorer Diafra Sakho.

Andre Ayew (LW)

The Ghanaian scored his first goal of the season, against Cheltenham on Wednesday night and will want to build on that performance.

Here’s how West Ham United might take the field against Newcastle United:
