Predicted Tottenham Lineup To Face Everton In The Premier League

Tottenham Hotspur are set to welcome Everton to the Wembley Stadium on Saturday. The match will be an important one but it is noteworthy that the Toffees have not won against Spurs in the Premier League over the last 5 years. However, they do look a lot stronger with Sam Allardyce in charge and it will be interesting to see how that fares for both sides. Both clubs are in dire need of 3 points and the game on Saturday will prove to be a crucial one.

Team News

Victor Wanyama and Erik Lamela are likely to be in contention to start whereas Harry Winks is also expected to be available despite nursing an ankle injury. That said, Toby Alderweireld continues to be out and Danny Rose will also miss this one.

Probable Tottenham Hotspur XI

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Manager: Mauricio Pochettino

Hugo Lloris (GK)

Lloris has been a constant reliable presence for Spurs and he is a sure starter against Everton on Saturday.

Serge Aurier (RB)

Aurier can work quite well in terms of providing support to the attack while doing his defensive duties and that will prove to be crucial against Everton, making it likely for Pochettino to start him.

Davinson Sanchez (CB)

Sanchez’s height and physicality often prove to be a boost for Tottenham in the heart of their defence and that should prompt Pochettino to deploy him in his usual role.

Davinson Sanchez

Jan Vertonghen (CB)

Vertonghen has not only been consistent but has also been reliable for Tottenham. He can also partner well with Sanchez and the duo is likely to work their magic on Saturday.

Ben Davies (LB)

With Rose suffering with his fitness once again, Davies should receive a starting opportunity against Everton.

Victor Wanyama (DM)

Winks is definitely more influential but he continues to nurse an ankle injury and that could prompt Pochettino to provide a chance to Wanyama instead. Additionally, Wanyama was quite solid against AFC Wimbledon as well and should be able to do well.

Eric Dier (CM)

Dier’s dominance and power will be crucial when it comes to dictating the proceedings and maintaining fluidity against Everton. Also, he could prove to be a strong partner for Wanyama.

Harry Kane

Erik Lamela (LW)

Lamela was involved in the game against Wimbledon from the first whistle to the last and he could start against Everton as well.

Dele Alli (CAM)

Alli’s forward runs and creative contributions will be crucial and the player will be looking to get back to his best form. However, he has been decent of late and that should seal a starting spot for him.

Christian Eriksen (RW)

Eriksen’s attacking contributions have been of top-notch quality lately and that will come in handy against a resilient Everton defence.

Harry Kane (CF)

The man of the moment, Harry Kane is likely to essay his usual goalscoring exploits, against the Toffees on Saturday.
