Predicted Tottenham Line-up To Face West Bromwich Albion In The Premier League

Tottenham Hotspur earned a scrappy victory against Watford on Monday that took them five points clear of Chelsea with only three matches to play.

Spurs next face basement club West Brom, who look revitalised under caretaker manager Darren Moore. The win over Watford, even if it wasn’t exactly vintage, will give Tottenham a much-needed lift and Mauricio Pochettino will expect his boys to do a good job at West Brom.

Probable Tottenham XI

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Manager: Mauricio Pochettino

Hugo Lloris (GK)

Lloris showed why he is one the best goalkeepers in the Premier League as he made some excellent saves against Watford on Monday. He is set to retain his place in goal.

Kieran Trippier (RB)

Trippier produced a man of the match performance against Watford and should keep his place for this game.

Kieran Trippier

Davinson Sanchez (CB)

Sanchez has proved to be an excellent acquisition for Tottenham. He hasn’t taken much time to adapt to the Premier League and alongside Vertonghen, has constantly impressed.

Jan Vertonghen (CB)

A leader and a rock at the back, Vertonghen has been colossal for the Lilywhites this season. He is such an important figure for the North Londoners and will look to continue his solid form.

Ben Davies (LB)

Davies has been limited attacking-wise but has been defensively very composed and solid. His good displays at left-back throughout the season are one of the positives for Pochettino.

Eric Dier (CM)

The versatile Dier will start in front of the four-man defence. He will be tasked with shielding the defence, providing a platform for his teammates to flourish.

Victor Wanyama (CM)

After an uninspiring performance by Dembele last game, it is high time that Pochettino rests the ageing Belgian to hand a start to Victor Wanyama. Wanyama’s presence alongside Dier would make Tottenham tick in the attack against the Baggies.

Victor Wanyama

Christian Eriksen (RW)

Eriksen’s influence this season has been excellent and he is likely to be deployed in his usual role at right-wing.

Dele Alli (CAM)

Alli will look to stretch West Brom’s defence from the blow of the whistle. He has improved massively in the second half of the season but needs to be consistent and ruthless in front of goal.

Lucas Moura (LW)

While Son Heung-min has been brilliant this season, this game calls for Lucas Moura’s inclusion. The Brazilian is a speed bullet and can cause havoc with his pace and skill set.

Harry Kane (ST)

Kane netted his 27th league goal of the season against Watford which puts him four behind Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah. After sustaining an injury at Bournemouth, he has the rustiness in his game but will look to overcome it with a fine display against the Baggies.
