The Arsenal squad in their final training session today before they travel to the Stadium of Lights tomorrow to face Sunderland after a week long of International matches which kept the fans waiting. Along with squad joined latest recruits Mesut Ozil and EmilianoViviano.
Whilst there were initial rumours that Aaron Ramsey and Theo Walcott may not feature in the game due to their involvement with the National side, the British duo turned out at the London Colney for the Gunners training session after Arsene Wenger confirming yesterday that they are fit.
Other casualties include Yaya Sanogo (back pain) and Thomas Rosciky (Hamstring injury) who will not travel to Sunderland. However, Arsenal defender Thomas Vermaelen is back in full training. Talking to the club’s official website about the defender’s situation, Arsene Wenger said:
“Vermaelen is back in full training. He is very close to being available and he could be in the squad on Saturday. It is more likely to be Wednesday, but there is a possibility he might still travel on Friday to Sunderland.”
