Having showed the door for as much as 20 youngsters including reserve team and academy players, the Gunners have brought in a few youngsters. And to the list, there will be two more young players added as Arsenal are reportedly offering Atletico Nacional midfielder Sebastian Perez and Al Ain playmaker Omar Abdulrahman trials.

The Express quotes that, Perez, 20, will begin a trial with Arsenal today and is valued at around £5million by his Colombian club. Perez had an excellent U20 World Cup campaign with Colombia, which helped his case as his agent convinced the Arsenal officials to take him to the Emirates and have a close look at him. Perez, naturally a defensive midfielder, does not hesitate to go forward and has the capability to shoot on-target from long distances.

The midfielder was quoted as saying,

“I was delighted to get such an opportunity early in my career,” recalls Perez. “I was determined to take my chance and repay the faith people had shown in me. The first thing is to have clear goals and dreams. I knew I was going to be a footballer. The advice I can give is to have a clear goal, to be very disciplined.

“You have to be prepared for a lot of sacrifice because you sacrifice many things, often you leave your family by going to another city, often you lose friends because you have to get up early or not attend a party”

The midfielder is regarded as one of the brightest prospects in Colombian football, who also boasts being his nation’s youngest ever title winner. So here is his picture with club captain Thomas Vermaelen
