Fans around the world thought Antonio Conte had lost his mind when he splashed out £30 million for the Brazilian centre-back on the transfer deadline day. However, David Luiz has gone from being a clown to ringmaster since returning to Stamford Bridge and he has revealed his pleasure playing for the London club under the Chelsea boss.

David Luiz has been a revolution since his arrival from Paris for his second spell at Chelsea and has helped them move to the top of the table after conquering Middlesbrough at the Riverside on Sunday in a 1-0 victory. He also posted a photo on Instagram with the following caption:

“What a pleasure to play with in a team showing such teamwork and spirit! Well done lads! Come on Chelsea!”

The 29-year-old seems to be benefiting massively from the switch in formation made by Antonio Conte and is relishing playing alongside Gary Cahill and Cesar Azpilicueta in a three man defence and those viewing could feel the presence of him at the Riverside in attack as well. Luiz almost set-up Chelsea’s second goal, which saw Pedro hit the bar in the same attack after Luiz sent a dazzling ball into Costa who found the Spaniard Pedro with his knockdown.

The Blues are currently on a winning streak; they have won their last six Premier League encounters and have also kept six clean sheets among all their victories, the win against Boro hoisted them above Liverpool. But a tough few fixtures come ahead of Chelsea as they face bitter London rivals Tottenham Hotspur next weekend.
