(Picture) Arsenal’s Starting XI If Everything Had Gone Right!

Share

Over the last few years, most Arsenal fans have grown increasingly frustrated with Arsène Wenger’s apparent inability to keep his best players. The Gunners haven’t won a trophy since 2005 but would their trophy drought have lasted this long if they kept the likes of Cesc Fàbregas and Robin van Persie?

Bare in mind this starting XI doesn’t include the likes of Thierry Henry and Patrick Vieira who both left the club at the age of 29 – arguably in their prime.

True Arsenal fans however, would tell you Arsène Wenger has performed miracles keeping the club in the Champions League season after season while the club pays back the stadium debt. And perhaps this summer will be the summer where Arsenal start buying other club’s star players instead of selling their own. A certain Liverpool striker comes to mind.
