Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is ready to bench Patrice Evra this weekend.
The Daily Mail claims that Ferguson is not happy with the French Left back as he looks out of sort with his tackles. The left back was blamed for letting in wingers to dribble past him easily allowing the centre backs to face more trouble from the opposition. Alexander Büttner, the Nederland’s U21 International is tipped to make his debut in the clash against Wigan Athletic on Saturday.
Evra has been first choice at Old Trafford since he signed in 2006, but he has showed a serious dip in form in the opening games of the season and in the later stages of last season. Manchester United signed Alexander Büttner in a precautionary measure as they could not complete the signature of Leigton Baines from Everton. The French full back remained unchallenged in the left-back slot for the past six seasons and the arrival of Vitesse player Büttner will put some pressure on Evra to prove his worth.
