AC Milan forward Alexandre Pato believes he and his team-mates are still capable of challenging for top honours in the upcoming season.

Pato Believes AC Milan can challenge for title even without silva and Imrahimovic

The Rossoneri have parted company with a number high-profile players this summer such as Thiago Silva, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Alessandro Nesta, Clarence Seedorf and Gennaro Gattuso.

Nevertheless, Pato is convinced Milan still have what it takes to compete for the Italian Serie A title. The Brazil international told Gazzetta dello Sport: “Milan have always been a team of winners, even after they lost some high-profile names.

”I am convinced that we can fight for the Scudetto again this time, too. We are strong in every position and I’m confident we’ll do well.

”Ibrahimovic is a great champion and he has done some very good things for the club. However, I think we can cope with his departure.
