Wolves put in an excellent shift against Arsenal but were unable to come away with a win as both teams shared the spoils. Nuno Espirito Santo’s men created a number of opportunities but were only able to convert one as the Gunners made them pay.
Ivan Cavaleiro opened the scoring for the Wolves after which Henrikh Mkhitaryan found the back of the net in an unusual manner. Adam Traore terrorised the Gunners’ backline throughout the game. He drew a good save out of Bernd Leno as well.
Despite their inability to see out the win, the Wolves have certainly shown they are capable of going up against the big teams.
Here we take a look at how their stars fared in the draw against Arsenal.
Denied Ramsey with a superb save but was unable to do anything about the equaliser. Made a couple of other important stops as well.
Bennett showed fighting spirit and determination on the night. He made a few superb blocks and prevented Bellerin from finding the top corner. He also did well against the Arsenal strikers.
Coady did everything to keep Alexandre Lacazette at bay and he did a good job at that. The captain was superb on the night.
Boly too was defensively solid on the night. Had a good chance to score Wolves’ second but was unable to do anything about it.
Made a lot of superb runs and looked energetic all night. Played a huge role in many attacks as well.
The Portuguese midfielder was back to his best in this one after a few lacklustre performances. His passing was superb on the night.
Barely wasted a ball and showed great tenacity on the night. Some of his long-range passes and switches of play were brilliant.
Gave Bellerin a job to do on the night. He looked lively throughout the game.
Costa was given the licence to rip Arsenal apart and he very much did that. He was unfortunate not to find the back of the net.
The striker was once again involved in a goal. Wolves should definitely bring him in on a permanent basis.
Did well and took his chance well to slot home. He is a great talent.
He was unable to convert Traore’s cross to make it 2-0.
If not for Leno, the winger would have clinched the winner.

Didn’t have much to do apart from seeing the game out. He also saw his brilliant effort come off the inside of the post. Unlucky!
