Nuno Santo to make one change – Strongest 3-4-3 Wolverhampton Wanderers lineup to face Leeds United

Wolves haven’t won in their last three games as they stutter towards what looks like an inevitable Championship title win. However, a closer look at those three ‘failures’ reveals that not all is wrong at Molineux.

Drawing with Preston North End and Norwich City right now can hardly be something to be chalked up in the ‘disaster’ category. That said, losing 2-0 at Fulham may have been disappointing but it was expected, given Fulham’s own form and ability.

Wolves will travel to Elland Road looking to get things back on track and you couldn’t bet against it happening.

Team News

Wolves’ absentees won’t kill things off, though Ruben Neves does have to sit this one out due to suspension.

Predicted Wolverhampton Wanderers XI

Manager: Nuno Espirito Santo

Formation: 3-4-3

GK – John Ruddy

The England hopeful will start once again between the post and won’t let the visitors down.

John Ruddy

CB – Ryan Bennett

Nailed down this position now and works really well along with Coady and Boly.

CB – Conor Coady

An underrated player in this title victory for sure – Coady will be comfortable with life in the Premier League.

CB – Willy Boly

Alioski may cause one or two problems when cutting in from the right but he’s up against the best defender in the league here.

RWB – Matt Doherty

Shouldn’t have any issues getting forward and causing trouble on Leeds’ left flank.

Matt Doherty

LWB – Barry Douglas

Can cause havoc with Alioski not tracking so much and Berardi perhaps not good enough to stop him.

CM – Alfred N’Diaye

Ruben Neves’ replacement is doing OK alongside Saiss and will continue here.

CM – Romain Saiss

Usually plays second-fiddle to Neves but he is the main man in midfield presently.

RW – Ivan Cavaleiro

May switch flanks and usurp countryman Helder Costa for a place on the right wing.

LW – Diogo Jota

Will undoubtedly come back into the starting XI if fully fit and will most likely start in his favoured position on the left-hand side of the attack.

ST – Leo Bonatini

The Brazilan’s goals have dried up but, in my opinion, they still need his presence up against Jansson and Cooper.  Bonatini is likely to stand right in the middle of the two centre-backs in an attempt to occupy them both, allowing the space for Cavaleiro and Jota to run into.  A goal or two from these wingers is expected.
