Nuno Santo to make 1 key change – Predicted 3-4-2-1 Wolves XI to face Burnley

Predicted Wolves line-up to face Burnley in the Premier League

Newly promoted Wolverhampton Wanderers have made a decent start to this season. Nuno Espirito Santo’s men won their first game back in the top-flight against West Ham just before the international break. However, claiming credible draws at home to Everton and champions Manchester City aren’t bad results too.

They will now be up against a Burnley side who will be eager to right the wrong. Sean Dyche’s men have made a bad start to the season, partly because of a small squad and Europa League qualifier games. So for Wolves, it won’t be easy to break down a generally stubborn defence.

Team News

Nuno should be delighted to know that he has a full-strength squad to choose his line-up from. Only Ivan Cavaleiro is out from the weekend’s game but all the new summer signings are fit and raring to go.

Predicted Wolves XI

Formation: 3-4-2-1

Manager: Nuno Espirito Santo

Rui Patricio (GK)

Stating that the Portuguese has been fantastic could be an understatement. His saves against Manchester City and West Ham were just out of this world. A major signing for Wolves.

Ryan Bennett (RCB)

A solid presence at the back and very good with the ball. Nuno would love to have Bennett continuing the good work.

Conor Coady

Conor Coady (CB)

The captain has been solid and assured at the back, just what the team needs.

Willy Boly (LCB)

Boly has been a bit circumspect on the ball at times but solid and sturdy defensively, which is the most important factor.

Matt Doherty (RWB)

Always a presence down the right flank, making runs forward and tracking back. A sure starter.

Joao Moutinho (CM)

The experienced Moutinho has been very intelligent in the midfield and ticks the play over with simplicity. Just the kind of player Wolves needed to compete in the Premier League.

Ruben Neves

Ruben Neves (CM)

The talisman of the club when it comes creating chances out of nothing or scoring stunning long-range goals. He is the magician in the team.

Diogo Jota (LW)

Jota has made a subdued start in terms of numbers but his contribution has been vital down the left wing.

Raul Jimenez (ST)

Jimenez has led the line well, holding the ball and making runs in behind to cause trouble to the defenders.

Adama Traore (RW)

We may see Traore make his first start since joining the club this summer. The speedster will certainly be a worry for the Burnley back-line.
