Manchester United midfielder Fred is amidst talks with Turkish Outfit Galatasaray over a possible summer move, as stated by The Sun.
The report also states that the Turkish giants are looking for a year-long loan for the Brazilian midfielder.
By and large, Fred’s existence wouldn’t work wonders in the coming season and here is why.
Former United manager Jose Mourinho wagered on the 26-year-old for a lucrative fee from Shakhtar Donetsk.
As far the last season was concerned, the Brazilian ace failed to exceed the expectations in what turned out to be a horrific season for the Red Devils.
Fred featured nearly for 18 games in the Premier League last season and was a non-starter for most of the games.
Before his switch to the Premier League, the Brazilian had a great season with Shakhtar, scoring 4 goals and providing assists, which is poles apart from his scoring rate for the Red Devils. In fact, he contributed just a goal and an assist.
It can be easily drawn that Fred has succumbed to the Premier league’s temperamental issues. Not to mention, his numbers are also underwhelming.
Though he was able to put a wholehearted display in the Champions League win over PSG, his consistency is a concern for the Red Devils.
The 2018/19 season also witnessed the emergence of Scott McTominay and Andreas Pereira, as both showed enough promises.
That being said, Fred looks like a bloated option for the Red Devils as they head to the new campaign.

United’s transfer business this summer only saw the defenders and attackers incoming while they missed out on midfield reinforcements.
Whilst there is a multitude of options to count on, Fred is not the one who can make any difference in the upcoming season.
Fred was one among the many stars who cut a sorry figure the last term, eventually costing United’s UCL hopes.
Going forward, the Norwegian manager should have an unbreachable squad in which the misfits like Fred can’t be granted a place at all.
