A bunch of Ex-Milan players and legends hailed the Milan’s new rising star El Shaarawy for his recent performances.

Andriy Shevchenko said,

“ He (El Shaarawy) is fast, technically gifted and has the freshness that you need in the difficult moments,”

“I don’t want to compare him with any legends. Because comparisons can be harmful sometimes”

“But he has something that reminds me of myself, for example the way he accelerates.”

Dejan Savicevic in a recent interview to Gazzetta dello Sport said,

“El Shaarawy has all the qualities needed to become a great player, but it’s too early for comparisons. He still needs to grow,”

Jose Altafini also praised the youngster,

“El Shaarawy reminds me of Neymar and Messi, they all have a low center of gravity. They play with the ball glued to their feet.”

“The important thing is not to bulk him up too much this season.”
