Martial And Mata Starts – Strongest Possible Manchester United Line Up To Face Crystal Palace In The FA Cup Final

Share

After a successful conclusion at Old Trafford last time out, Manchester United will be heading to the Wembley where they will be facing Crystal Palace for the FA Cup final.

Manchester United had an easy game, where the side comfortably managed to thrash Eddie Howie’s men by 3 goals to 1. Manchester United didn’t have a season they would have wished for, but the team is still in the finals of the FA Cup and also have qualified for the Europa League.

Crystal Palace, on the other hand, nearly managed to escape the relegation, and the team will be looking forward to give Manchester United a run for their money.

There are no major injury woes to the side, but still they will be missing Luke Shaw, who recently came back from his horror injury and the German midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger.

Here is the Predicted Lineup for Manchester United that could face Crystal Palace-

Goalkeeper: David De Gea-

No doubt about that! The player of the year for Manchester United nearly missed out on winning the golden glove award this season as the side conceded a last minute consolation goal against Bournemouth. He has been amazing throughout the season.

Defence: Valencia; Smalling; Blind; Borthwick-Jackson-

Valencia has improved a lot lately and the Ecuadorian, who was criticized for his poor crossing techniques has answered his critics in style. With Darmian out injured, Valencia is surely a starter. Smalling had an amazing season, and quite deservedly, the Englishman won the player’s player of the year. Blind did stumble many a times this season, but Smalling always had a back to cover the howlers of the Dutch skipper. Bolasie and Zaha will be looking to exploit the defence through their pace, and therefore, both the center halves will have to be on their toes to guard the team’s post. Borthwick Jackson had an average game against Bournemouth, but I’m pretty sure that the young defender will keep his place in the finals.

Midfielders: Mata; Carrick; Lingard; Rooney; Martial-

It is surely a disappointment for Juan Mata as he is not picked for the Spanish squad that will be battling in Euro 2016 next month. But, the Spanish international do have another final to play for. He is an important asset to the team as he drives the team forward. Lingard, on the other hand, will also be joining the starting eleven, most probably, the 22-year-old Englishman will be playing as an attacking midfielder who will be supported by the club captain Wayne Rooney who gave a man of the match performance against Bournemouth by playing the game from the center. Michael Carrick had an average game, but looking at Schneiderlin’s recent form, he is the likely one to start. Furthermore, Martial is having a great season. The Frenchman’s strike against Everton in the FA Cup semi-final took the team into the finals and van Gaal will surely be using Martial to cause Palace’s defence some serious problems.

Attack: Marcus Rashford-

The 18-year-old recently got his very first international call from the team, and the boy will be carrying that confidence to the Wembley as well. He scored against Bournemouth in the last game and will be looking forward to replicate the same form in the following fixture.
