Marchisio To Manchester United, Lamela To Leave Tottenham, Morata To Arsenal – Rating Top 5 Rumors Of The Week Part 2

Share

It’s the second week of the January transfer window and rumors getting louder with every day. This week has been outstanding for its new transfer stories, as well as updates on the older sagas. Here are the top five most interesting rumors in the previous week:

5.  Claudio Marchisio To Manchester United

Marchisio

David Moyes is said to have been given £200m transfer budget to spend from the Red Devils board. The Red Devils have shown their interest in Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio, who despite competition at club claims to be happy and hopes to remain at the Bianconeri side. Still, according to Express, United have launched a £20m for the 27-year-old Italian international. Along with Vidal, Marchisio had formed a formidable midfield partnership. It will lot more than good money to lure him away from the Turin club.

Likelihood: 20%

4. Erik Lamela to leave Tottenham

Erik Lamela

The Argentinian has struggled ever since joining the White Hart Lane back in August and reports claim his father revealed Lamela wanted to quit Spurs this January. Signing the 21-year-old costed Tottenham £30m and lately team manager Tim Sherwood has denied any move from the midfielder this transfer window. Still, if Lamela asked for a transfer he might get a permission from the board to leave the Spurs and search for a new club. Whats the use of staying if he is not getting any game time?

Likelihood: 30%

3. Pedro to quit Barcelona for Premier League

Pedro

Pedro Rodriguez has been a first-team man at Camp Nou, however with the arrival of star Neymar, and good form of Sanchez, the Spaniard has spent less minutes on the pitch. Barcelona’s wings are filled with top-star players, maybe it’s time to exchange one of them for a goal scoring striker, who’d guarantee some goals for the Blaugrana and provide good back up for Messi. However Tata Martino prefers playing Pedro ahead of Tello and Alexis in recent weeks, and Barcelona rarely sell players in January, so it’s likely for him to stay with his current club.

Likelihood: 20%

2. Rooney To Chelsea

Rooney

The English star could be moving clubs after spending ten years with Manchester United, as The Special One hopes to bring the 28-year-old forward to the Stamford Bridge this summer. Since Rooney’s deal runs out in summer 2015, Jose Mourinho has declared his interest in signing no one else but only ‘Wazza‘ as a striker reinforcement for Chelsea. (As per reports from Telegraph). Even though this is a difficult deal to pull off, with rooney’s ever swinging pendulum mindset, anything is possible.

Likelihood: 20%

1. Alvaro Morata loan to Arsenal

The Spanish prodigy has not found a place in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad, as a result is looking for a move out of Santiago Bernabeu. Morata, 21, could be the solution to Arsene Wenger’s goal scoring troubles, would perfectly fit in Gunners‘ attack and could possibly replace season-long injured Theo Walcott. The Spaniard would find some game practice at Emirates, as a loan deal with a buy-out option seems a perfect option for Arsenal. According to Standard, Real Madrid are willing to listen to offers for the rising star. This move looks real possible now.

Likelihood: 50%
