Manchester United suffered a double setback against PSV Eindhoven in their opening Champions League group stage match a couple of days ago. They not only lost the match 2-1 but also went on to lose their left back Luke Shaw who suffered a broken leg following a harsh tackle from PSV’s Mexican defender Hector Moreno.
Immediately after the injury, Luke Shaw was carried away in a stretcher and he was taken to a nearby hospital, where he underwent a surgery. With this, Shaw is set to miss the rest of the season. Shaw was in a rich vein of form before getting injured and manager Louis VA Gaal is looking for a potential replacement. In spite of having the likes of Daley Blind and Marcos Rojo, Van Gaal is set to search for a left back in the market and has set his sights on Leeds United’s left back Charlie Taylor.
According to Dailystar, Van Gaal has sent his scouts to track the England international several times and could pitch in with a 4 million pounds move to sign Charlie in the winter transfer window.
