According to a report from The Guardian, Inter Milan forward Ivan Perisic has been linked with a move to Premier League with Manchester United turning out to be his suitors.
Earlier, Inter’s new manager Antonio Conte rebuked the Croatian with comments regarding his inability to adapt to the former’s requirements, which has now added fire to his exit links this summer. (h/t Metro)
Perisic was the subject of the Red Devils’ interest last summer under the reign of Jose Mourinho and recently was linked with a swap deal for United’s Lukaku.
Perisic’s contribution to the Croatian national side in last year’s FIFA World Cup will never be taken for granted, as he bagged three goals and an assist in the knock-out stages.
Elsewhere at San Siro, Persic continues to be a pivotal member for the Serie A outfit, having racked up 31 goals in the past three seasons – impressive stats for a player, who often plays as a natural winger and in such a defensively-inclined league.
Regardless, the former Wolfsburg man would still be unnecessary, considering his age and the current requirements of United.
The Red Devils’ current squad is influenced with youngsters, courtesy Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The Norwegian manager made his intentions clear with the signings of Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who have already made their early impressions in the pre-season friendlies.
Welsh winger James is one of the reasons that could hinder the transfer for Perisic, as the former is agile, young and a viable addition for the long-term future.

Furthermore, the Croatian’s role has been withering over the years since he became an out-and-out winger, despite playing in various positions at the start.
The Red Devils have already manifested their intentions with two promising signings and now, they should turn their head towards the midfield and defence units.
Whilst bringing United back to the winning ways should remain the sole intention of Solskjaer, he shouldn’t consider a move for unconventional signings like Perisic.
